When it comes to Apple Series, we have to admit its influence and reputation. However, some of the iPhone accessories are always less than satisfactory. Since Apple release the iPhone 5 on September 21, 2012, the company has been bundling a Lightning cable with every new phone. The addition of this new cable format was applauded for its compact format, because it left more room for the speakers and the audio jack that was relocated to the bottom of the device.

According to people’s experience, we can draw a conclusion that the cable brought new issues with it, so it is not something worthwhile to applaud. So what happened? And how can people draw the conclusion? Let’s see the Achilles’ heel of it.
To start, there is a story to share with you all.
                 One broken iPhone cable

Once upon a time, someone has had his shiny new iPhone 5S for about two weeks. And then, he is currently on his third cable. He lost another cable recently and was overwhelmed by annoyance due to the rapid death of those expensive iPhone cables.

In contrast, there is another person who is really careful. He takes care of every his Apple cables and devices, but after loaning his Lightning cable to two people, the cable no longer worked.

To tell you the truth, the two poor guys represent for the most of us people who are typing on their fashion iPhone. And of cause it has nothing to do with trying to get customers to buy more replacement adapters. So why are iPhone cables so easy to break down? Are them born to be fragile? Let’s see why they always come to death when they are very young.

1.   Its bad compatibility

The Lightning cable has a chip inside of it, which you see in the photo above as two tiny black boxes with silver legs inside the cable. All cables that work with the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C that run the latest iOS7 require this chip to be in the cable. Without it, the phone doesn’t recognize the cable, and will refuse to charge or sync with your new electronic wonder. This also has the drawback that Apple needs to protect this patented design and charge for licensing fees if you want to manufacture your own Lightning cables. This has kept many companies from providing quality alternatives, but now that Apple has lowered that barrier, we should see new options in the near future. Therefore, you cannot use other USB cables to charge your iPhone. Also, the original cable is expensive (at least that’s the case for me…), so the most of people have only one cable (for each time…). That’s one reason for causing the sorrow.

 2.   Your bad habits

Many people get used to put their cables into their bags casually right after they take out the plugs, twining the cables and forcing them into a tiny pocket. Undoubtedly, it will shave time off the life-span of the cables.

Secondly, as for some brawny people, it’s too rude of them to plug in or plug out. Holding the wire body of cables and pulling them out of a port will make them game-over in a very short time.

According to constant practice and customers’ feedback, we have summarized the solutions for that problem. USE ADHESIVE PLASTER to protect the joint between the connector and the cables, if you don’t mind sacrificing aesthetics. Apart from that, another way is to endure and BUY A NEW ONE. Or you can give up the original ones, supporting for other authorized cables. BTW, many authorized manufacturers have improved the shortcomings of some accessories, which will also be a good choice for us. Unite Cable Enterprise Co., Ltd has been dedicated in cables industry over 10 years, and customers’ demands are the most important element for manufacturing. Anyway, “customers first” should always be the NO.1 among the commodity notions, as Unite Cable Enterprise Co., Ltd always takes.
